Creative Age celebration

Marking the end of our seven years at Bethesda Methodist Church, Creative Age celebrated with style this July.

With invited participants from over the years, funders, health professionals, volunteers and artists, we kicked off with an interactive vintage song and dance cabaret with the Mary-Lou Revue, performed by one of our wonderful associate artists. With a slide show of photos from 100+ creative workshops and participants in the background, Bernard treated us to one of his own poems about Creative Age, certificates were handed out, speeches and flowers and ending with a fabulous afternoon tea.

It was definitely the end of an era, and we can’t thank the team at Bethesda enough for believing in Creative Age and working with us over the years. We will miss you.

We asked everyone what Creative Age meant to them, below are some of their responses:

“A wonderful tapestry of friendship, fun, love, support and creativity”

“It makes me feel warm inside to see the effect Creative Age has. Everyone is smiling, chatting and become a family”

“What an incredible tribute to such a special group and service for our community. The joy, friendship and love in the room is really prominent”

“Collaboration, connection, courage and creativity”

“Creative Age is the best community space, filled with kindness”

“Lots of fun, laughter, friendship, community and cake. We love being part of it”

“Creative Age has been an oasis in a very troubled time”
